Say Goodbye to Waste Yarn and “Stitch-Drop” Anxiety
We’ve all been there: threading a blunt needle with scrap yarn, praying it doesn’t snag, and then struggling to slide your stitches back onto the needles later. Or worse—trying to squeeze into a half-finished sweater only to have a needle pop out.
Stitch Cords are the elegant, “why-didn’t-I-think-of-this-sooner” solution for every knitter’s toolkit. These flexible, hollow cables grip your needle tips so you can slide your project onto a secure hold in seconds.
What’s Included:
-
(2) 75cm lengths: Perfect for holding both sleeves of a sweater separately while you knit the body.
-
(1) 150cm length: Great for holding keeping the sweater’s body stitches safe while you try on your garment.
- Screw close tin: Keeps the set tidy and secure when not in use!
** Custom lengths are available by request. Send us a message and we are happy to accommodate your individual needs! **
Why You’ll Love Them:
-
The Perfect Fit, Every Time: Dreaming of a perfectly fitted sweater? Slide your body stitches onto a cord to safely try on your garment mid-knit. No more “guessing” if the length is right.
-
Sleeve Management Made Simple: Moving sleeve stitches to a hold while you finish the body is no longer a chore. They stay secure, kink-free, and ready for you when it’s time to pick them back up.
-
Modular Magic: For the Stephen West fans and modular enthusiasts, these cords are a game-changer. Easily isolate sections of your work without the bulk of extra needles or the mess of scrap yarn.
Sizes:
-
Small: Exactly the same as competitors on the market. The 1.5mm hole will fit a wide range of needle sizes, and the .25mm material thickness will allow stitches to glide over with minimal catching.
-
Large: A more durable version with broader capacity! The 2mm hole will fit a broader range of needle sizes and the .5mm material thickness allows a stronger, better grip on your needles creating a decreased risk of the cords “popping” off your needles mid transfer. Smaller needle sizes may experience a bit more “catching” as you transfer stitches. Needle sizes 3.75mm and larger generally do not, wool weight and fiber are also a factor.
